ICDS conducts capacity building programme for Anganwadi Workers, Supervisors at Ramban

RAMBAN, July 08: A comprehensive training program aimed at building the capacity of Anganwadi workers and supervisors of the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) under Poshan Abhiyaan was today conducted in Ramban.

The training witnessed active participation of over 30 dedicated Anganwadi workers and supervisors representing different centers of the Ramban district.

During the inaugural session, the Programme Officer of ICDS, Ramban, Jahangir Hashmi, emphasized the significance of adopting technology and modern tools to enforce transparency and efficient implementation of child and women development programs. He said that the primary objective of the training was to equip frontline ICDS workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize technological tools for real-time implementation and monitoring of Poshan Abhiyaan schemes.

Highlighting the transformative potential of the Poshan Tracker app, the Programme Officer, ICDS Ramban underscored its role as an enabling tool in seamlessly transferring the benefits of Poshan Abhiyaan schemes to the intended beneficiaries. “By leveraging this app, hundreds of trained Angnawadi workers are now able to update the daily routines, document the distribution of supplementary nutrition, monitor growth, and even report the opening of new centers from each Anganwadi center in the Ramban district” he said.

The seamless implementation of Poshan Abhiyaan schemes in Ramban District is playing a vital role in addressing malnutrition among children and women. The real-time data captured through the Poshan Tracker app ensures accurate monitoring, enabling prompt action and interventions to improve the health and wellness of the target population.

After the inaugural session, resource person Ankush Sharma, delivered engaging lectures and practical demonstrations on effective  utilization of the Poshan Tracker. The Participants were imparted hands-on training to familiarize them with the app’s functions and optimize its usage for the benefit of the community.
