ICSSR Sponsored 10- Day Research Methodology Course on Bharat Centric Research Concluded in CUJ
Jammu, 07 Feb 2024: ICSSR sponsored Ten-Day Research Methodology Course on Bharat Centric Research in Social Sciences: Emerging Designs and Approaches concluded at Central University of Jammu Under the esteemed patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain.
Sh. Ashok Kumar Sharma, Director School Education graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address he said that Bharat Centric Research is the need of the hour but we have diversity in India and we have to solve various problems in the Indian context. Further he exclaimed that if research work remains in the thesis and dissertation then it is of no use, we should publish it in the public domain for the implementation in the society. He said that the field of social sciences is the most dynamic field of research as it works on the behaviour of the students and individuals so that we will modify the appropriate behaviour among the adolescents.
Earlier Prof. J.N. Baliya, Course Director Department of Educational Studies, in his welcome address presented the brief report of different sessions in this ten-day Research Methodology Course. He said that during the course different resource persons from pan India had delivered the talk namely Prof SC Gakhar, Prof. Kulwinder Singh, Prof. Rajeev Rattan Sharma, Prof. Anjali Bajpai, Prof. Jeevan Jyoti, Prof. Amit Kauts, Prof. Deepa Sikand Kauts, Prof. Virender Koundal, Dr. Mandeep Singh, Dr. Ravi Vanguri, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Sunayna Khurana, Prof. Vishal Sood, Prof. Manish Sharma, Dr. Arvind Selwal, Dr. Mohit Sharma and others.
Prof. Deepak Pathania, Dean Research Studies, CUJ in his remarks said that learning is not confined only to this ten day of this research methodology course; it will be helpful in developing the spark to do the research. He further explained that the Bharat Centric research is not only required in the field of social sciences but also there need to initiate research based on Bharat Centric in physical science to make India as Viswa Guru. Prof. Pathania also exclaimed to the participants that if we want to be on the wheel of success, then we should have self-confidence and self-esteem along with hard work.
Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu, in his address appreciated the efforts of the Course Director Prof. J.N. Baliya and Course Co-Director Dr. Aman for organising such intellectually stimulating experiences. He said that choosing Bharat Centric research means selecting and identifying the problems in Bhartiya context so that we will have the solution for further progress and development in the society. Prof. Yashwant emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence and academic innovation.

Mantry Head, Department of Educational Studies, Prof. Ritu Bakshi, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Ravi Vanguri, Dr. Yad Ram, Dr. Mohan, Dr. Anil, Dr. Aarushi, Mr. Arvind, Ms. Shivali, Dr Seema Thappa from Nagaland University as Co-Organising Secretary, deans and faculty of other departments were also present.
