Iftkhar called on Rahul Gandhi  leader of opposition at New Delhi

New Delhi: Iftkhar Ahmed , General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee, J&K, met Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition Lok Sabha at New Delhi.

During the meeting, Iftkhar Ahmed briefed Rahul Gandhi about the current political scenario of J&K and organisational matters of J&K. He further briefed him about problems faced by people due to delay of Assembly elections in J&K. He further asked Rahul Gandhi as there is no MP from congress party in Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha so people of J&K have a lot of expectations from him.

Iftkhar Ahmed further requested Rahul Gandhi to visit J&K particularly Pir Panjal region and also discuss promotion of tourism in Pir Panjal region, tunnel at Mughal Road and railway connectivity to Rajouri and Poonch.

Rahul Gandhi gave a patient hearing to the demands and assured that he will raise the voice of the people of J&K in parliament.
