IMI 5.0 launched in Samba District

SAMBA, August 07: In consonance with the Government of India guidelines, Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI 5.0) was launched in District Samba today at Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Vidhi Bhatial. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Samba Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Block Medical Officer Dr Lakhwinder Singh along with District Immunization Officer Samba Dr Kamlesh Kumari and Incharge Medical Officer Government Emergency Hospital Vijaypur Dr Quyum Hussain were also present.

Children below 5 yrs and pregnant women who have missed their routine immunization doses due to any problem would be immunized under this program.

In the preparatory phase, a head count survey was conducted in the district by the health staff and the duelists of the beneficiary children and pregnant women were prepared. The identified beneficiaries would be covered by the health teams by arranging different immunization sessions.

Chief Medical Officer, Samba Dr. Vidhi Bhatial gave a brief introduction about the IMI 5.0 to the media persons.
