DC calls for promotion of start ups in potential sectors

RAJOURI , February 23: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, chaired a meeting to review the status of employment generation schemes in the district. The meeting was attended by officials of stakeholder departments, including the Employment Department, Industries Department, and Rural Development Department.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress made by each department in implementing employment generation schemes and discussed ways to improve the effectiveness of these schemes. He emphasized the need to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the district and create an enabling environment for the growth of local industry.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials to identify potential areas for employment generation and devise strategies to promote entrepreneurship among the youth. He stressed the need to explore opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, and tourism, which have the potential to create significant employment opportunities.

The Deputy Commissioner also discussed the progress made in the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and urged the officials to ensure the timely disbursement of loan to the beneficiaries. He emphasized the need to provide proper guidance and training to the beneficiaries to ensure the success of their ventures.

Deputy Commissioner reiterated the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to the youth of the district and urged the officials to work towards achieving this goal. He also assured the citizens that the government is taking all necessary steps to promote local industries and create a conducive environment for their growth.
