“In this country, the common man is the superman,” says UBT leader Sanjay Raut

Mumbai (Maharastra) [India], July 19 (ANI): Speaking on the statement given by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said on Friday that the common man is the superman in the country.

Bhagwat, at a meeting on Thursday, commented about a man wanting to become Superman and even Bhagwan (God). This has taken a political twist with the Congress and its allies trying to link the comment to the BJP government at the centre.

Speaking on this matter, Raut said, “Mohan Bhagwat, who is the Sarsanghchalak, is respectable. These days, ever since the election has been decided and the Modi minority Alpmat government is sitting in Delhi, Mohan ji has been saying many things very openly. Now who is this Superman, who is the incarnation of Vishnu in Mohan ji’s mind or who is the non-biological person as it was said? The whole country knows this. So Bhagwat Sahab should speak openly.”

“What is happening in this country, despite still being a minority government, is not good for the democracy and constitution of the country. In this country, the common man is the superman and this common man has kept those who consider themselves God away from the majority. So I believe that the voter in this country, the common man, is the superman,” he further added.

Raut also spoke about the derailment of the Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express in UP’s Gonda region.

He said, “Look, this government itself is derailed. Ever since this new railway minister has taken charge, and since then during his tenure, more than 300 people or passengers have died. This is a very big figure. You want to bring a bullet train. You want to bring a metro or superfast train. You have such a big plan but you are not paying attention to the signal line, which needs repair. Then how will the common people live and travel?”

On the seat-sharing of Maha Vikas Aghadi, Raut said, “All three parties are major parties and they are doing assessments on their respective seats. Every party has the right to decide what their strength is in all the seats and where we can fight. After assessing that, finally, we will sit together and then there will be an exchange of seats.”

“No decision has been taken on that but Mumbai has always been the stronghold of the Shiv Sena. Whether it is the Mumbai Municipal Corporation or the most Assembly or Lok Sabha seats, we have been winning. Congress gets more seats. The Nationalist Congress Party gets more seats in West Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar’s people all have their influence. Shiv Sena has always had influence in Mumbai. So the seat sharing will be done accordingly,” he further added.
