Inauguration of Airtel 4G Network in Phobrang Village
Phobrang Village, 21st August 2024 — Inaugurated the Airtel 4G network in Phobrang village was done by Chushul Councillor, Konchok Stanzin. The inauguration ceremony was graced by 118 Brigadier Rana, Rajput CO Col. Dobey, army officers and officials, and the local community, including former Sarpanches Tsering Angchuk and Sonam Angchuk, as well as Member Dorjay Angtak.
The service was provided in a collaborative effort of the District administration, Indian Army, villagers, and the councillor. It was mentioned that the establishment of the network was made possible through a series of coordinated contributions with provision of a Solar Power Plant to support the tower by the councillor, Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) laid by the Indian Army, Construction of battery bank by villagers and installation of the network tower by Airtel.
In his remarks, Councillor Konchok Stanzin extended his heartfelt gratitute to all the contributers. He said, “My sincere thanks to each and every one involved in making this project a reality. Special thanks to the Deputy Commissioner, Shri Santhosh Sukhedeve IAS, for his unwavering support, to Fire & Fury for providing 5 km of OFC, and especially to the Managing Director, Territory Operations J&K and Ladakh, the General Manager, and their team for their commitment to expanding Airtel’s 4G network to this farthest border village. Your efforts in bringing connectivity to the most remote areas are highly commendable.”
The villagers of Phobrang expressed their overwhelming joy and gratitude for finally receiving mobile the network services.
