“Independence Day and Republic Day are greater occasions than all our festivals:” MP CM Mohan Yadav
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 6 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Tuesday that the two occasions of the year, Independence Day and Republic Day, are greater than all the festivals in the country.
He also requested the people to not only hoist the flag on August 15, i.e. Independence day but also hoist the tricolour in every house from August 9 and awaken the society.
“Two occasions of the year, Independence Day and Republic Day, are greater than all our festivals. In such a situation, with their dignity and pride pulsating with the government, the party has also come up with a beautiful idea that we will not only hoist the flag on August 15 but also the people of our Mandals will hoist tricolour houses from August 9 and will awaken the entire society,” CM Yadav said while addressing at party office in Bhopal on Tuesday.
CM also highlighted that if one looked at the countries around India that got independence with it or after, what happened to the condition of democracy in those countries?
“If we look at the incidents of two days ago in Bangladesh or we see the condition of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, it happened to them because there was a lack of such nationalist parties to awaken this type of consciousness in their society and they suffered. We are proud of ourselves for the way the government was formed in the centre in 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, with the third term of PM Modi, it has equalled the record of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s government,” he said.
“We all know that when Nehru’s government was formed, democracy was in its initial phase and today democracy has matured, therefore we should be more concerned about standing for it with the whole society,” he added.
He further emphasised about the police band through which the Independence day would be celebrated at all the 55 district headquarters in the state on coming August 15.
“At the time of independence, the states had their own police bands but with the passage of time, when the district police force was formed, those posts were not created and gradually that band ended. We said that our biggest occasions, August 15 and January 26, should be celebrated with joy and with government dignity. I am happy that our government had decided that till August 15, there would be a police band in every district. I say with joy that our own police band has reached every district in the state. It is a matter of good fortune for all of us that we will celebrate August 15 with joy,” he added.
CM also highlighted the programs scheduled to be held at various locations in the state on August 10 in view of the upcoming Rakhi festival.
“The auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan is on August 19, we have decided that it should not be celebrated on one day, we should celebrate it with the entire society.
Therefore, on August 10 programs will be organised simultaneously at 25 thousand places in the state. During this, Rs 1500 will be sent to Laldli Behnas with a single click,” CM Yadav said.
