Independence Day arrangements discussed in Ramnagar

RAMNAGAR, JULY 26: To ensure the smooth celebration of Independence Day 2024, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Rafiq Ahmad Jaral held a meeting with officers from various departments at the Tehsil Office in Ramnagar.


During the meeting, detailed discussions covered barricading, security, seating arrangements, drinking water, power supply, sanitation, first aid, public address system, fire safety, and other logistical aspects.


It was decided that the main event will take place at the Government Model Higher Secondary School in Ramnagar. The chief guest will unfurl the national flag and take the salute from the march past presented by the NCC and students from various educational institutions in Ramnagar.


SDM directed the Assistant Executive Engineers of the Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Roads and Buildings (R&B), and the Forest Department to ensure adequate seating, barricading, drinking water arrangements, and uninterrupted power supply at the venue. The Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee was tasked with maintaining cleanliness in both the town and the event venue. For first aid, the Block Medical Officer was instructed to deploy an ambulance along with a team of doctors and necessary medicines until the function concludes. The police will ensure security arrangements in both the town and the function venue.


Various committees, including those for rehearsal, reception, and maintenance of discipline, were also formed to ensure the successful celebration of the event.


A colorful cultural program will be presented by both government and private schools to mark Independence Day.


SDM urged the officers to complete all necessary arrangements promptly. He emphasized the importance of the officers and officials of all departments being present at the venue, celebrating the national function with zeal and enthusiasm, and working in close coordination to make the event a grand success.


Among others, Tehsildar Ramnagar Satish Kumar, CDPO Pallvi, EO MC Shashi Kant, AEEs of PDD, PHE, and other officers were also present.
