“INDI Alliance has increased corruption, empowered anti-national elements”: JP Nadda
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], July 9 (ANI): Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and NDA have worked to propel the country forward, while components of the INDI Alliance have increased corruption and empowered anti-national elements.
Nadda was addressing the BJP State Executive meeting in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Tuesday.
During the event, Kerala BJP President K Surendran, Union Minister George Kurian, former Union Minister V. Muraleedharan, National Secretary Abdullah Kutty, Anil Antony, senior leaders O. Rajagopal and Kumbanam Rajasekharan, along with other state BJP officials and karyakartas were present.
Nadda mentioned that upon arriving in Thiruvananthapuram, he bowed to Padmanabhaswamy. Nadda remembered Adi Shankaracharya, highlighting that the land is known for the significant contribution Adi Shankaracharya made in advancing Sanatan Dharm across the country.
Nadda emphasized that Kerala has been a land of gurus and social reformers, he then paid homage to Narayan Guru, acknowledging that his blessings provided new strength to social consciousness in the region.
National President of BJP, Nadda stated that Kerala is renowned for its hard work, politeness and dedication, qualities he also observes in the BJP karyakartas. Nadda praised all the karyakartas for their dedication and efforts in upholding an ideology while working under challenging conditions.
The BJP’s dedicated karyakartas are the reason why, for the first time in 60 years, the NDA is continuously and consecutively forming the government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Nadda extended his special congratulations to Kerala for the election results, highlighting that for the first time since independence, the people of Kerala had made the lotus bloom in the Lok Sabha. The NDA government being in power for the third consecutive time signifies stability and continuity.
The NDA government is bringing stability and the people of India have voted for this stability and continuity. Nadda credited BJP karyakartas for converting the government’s achievements into votes by effectively reaching out to the public.
BJP National President, Nadda mentioned that recently, elections were held in Odisha where BJP formed a government solely, winning 78 out of 147 seats and securing victory in 20 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats.
In Andhra Pradesh, the NDA achieved a sweeping victory. There have been certain narratives being spread that BJP has been a party of northern India, whereas BJP is now an all-India party, evident from its success in the south where the NDA won 164 out of 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh.
“BJP doubled Lok Sabha seats in Telangana and in Arunachal Pradesh, BJP formed the government for the third consecutive time, winning 46 out of 60 seats. In the Lok Sabha elections, the NDA and BJP swept Karnataka and BJP’s vote share in Tamil Nadu has reached up to 11.4 per cent,” he said.
He said that the day is not far when BJP’s position in Tamil Nadu will also improve further.
In Thrissur, Kerala, BJP won by a significant margin of 75,000 votes and in Attingal and Thiruvananthapuram as well, BJP has shown improved performance. In the upcoming times, BJP will succeed not only in Kerala’s Assembly but also in Lok Sabha seats.
“Today, BJP has gained ground in 6 municipal corporations in Kerala as well. BJP has achieved a 36% vote share in Thiruvananthapuram,” Nadda said.
Nadda stated that BJP karyakartas in Kerala are working with diligence, dedication and commitment despite adverse conditions. Kerala BJP karyakartas have risked their lives to bring success to the party in the state. Congress supporters are celebrating their big victory, but if Congress adds up the number of MPs they had in the 2014, 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP alone won more seats in 2024 than their combined total.
Congress did not win a single seat in 13 states and managed to increase its seats only due to regional parties. Congress has become a parasitic party. In Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, where there was a direct contest between BJP and Congress for 64 seats, BJP won 62 seats, while Congress could secure only 2 seats.
The strike rate for Congress when contesting elections alone is 26 per cent, whereas when Congress contests elections by being parasitic, its strike rate increases to 50 per cent. Congress is a party that relies on crutches.
National President of BJP, Nadda stated that in Bengal, Congress did not receive support from TMC, resulting in even the Congress State President losing the election and Congress not winning a single seat in the state.
In Kerala, D. Raja’s wife contested elections against Congress, but in Delhi, D. Raja is seen being friendly with Congress leaders. It is a case of mock fights in Kerala and friendship in Delhi. In Kerala, both Congress and CPI have become ideologically bankrupt. These people will do anything to grab power and positions.
The ideology of the INDI alliance is corruption and dynasty politics. Even CPI leaders are now promoting nepotism. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi, who contested from the Wayanad seat, lowered the Congress flags and raised the Muslim League flags instead.
The BJP says that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, it stands for the country and its soil. However, the Congress, in its quest for power, lowers its own flag and raises the flags of those who seek to divide the nation into pieces.
Nadda emphasized that in the country, there are nearly 1500 parties, big and small, but only BJP is rooted in ideology. BJP and RSS have a longstanding relationship. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was elected President at the Kelkar Convention in 1967.
The founder member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, had said that a country cannot have ‘Do Nishan’, ‘Do Vidhan’ and ‘Do Pradhan’. The strong will of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the strategy of Union Home Minister Amit Shah abrogated Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
In 1987-88, BJP passed a proposal to expedite the construction of the Ram Mandir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Lord Ram at the grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay spoke about Integral Humanism, which was transformed into ‘Antyodaya’ by the Janata Party in 1977. In 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government transformed the sentiment of Antyodaya into the core mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.
BJP National President Nadda stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a cadre-based party with 18 crore members, nearly 1,16,000 Shakti Kendras and Pramukh at 6,80,000 booths. The BJP is the world’s largest political party.
Ambassadors from more than 60 countries have visited the BJP headquarters to understand the party, noting that while the Communist Party of China has 80 million members, the BJP has twice that number of members. Currently, the Bharatiya Janata Party governs in 17 states across India. The party has more than 1500 elected legislators and over 200 elected mayors.
Nadda stated that Indian politics shows two clear phases, one before the year 2014 and one after 2014. Before 2014, India was perceived as a poor, corrupt and remotely controlled country. However, after 2014 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unprecedented changes have been seen based on the mantra of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform.’
Once, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had said that if he sends one rupee from Delhi, only 15 paise reach the people and the rest 85 paise get lost in corruption along the way. Today, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, through Direct Benefit Transfer, even if one rupee is sent, it reaches the people without any corruption, ensuring the full amount reaches its intended recipients.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing rapidly. Through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 80 crore people are receiving 5 kilograms of free ration, resulting in 25 crore people being lifted above the poverty line.
After the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine-Russia conflict, the economies of major countries are struggling, but the IMF has said that India’s economy is a ‘bright spot.’ According to the IMF, India’s growth rate is higher compared to the United States, Germany, France, Japan and the UK. India’s contribution to global growth rate is 15 percent.
BJP National President Nadda stated that before 2014, under Congress rule, India had the 11th largest economy globally, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation has become the 5th largest economy in the world.
The BJP government has spent Rs43.35 lakh crore for the development of foundational infrastructure. In Kerala, the development of national highways was hindered by the governments of LDF-UDF in the past, but today the pace of development projects has increased.
Over the past 10 years, 15,000 kilometres of national highways have been developed. Additionally, 3.8 lakh kilometres of rural roads have been developed and there has been development of double-lane roads in border areas. Since 2014, the number of airports in India has increased from 74 to 158.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision includes ensuring that even a person wearing slippers can benefit from air travel. India’s defence exports have also grown significantly. Once, India used to import bulletproof jackets from other countries, but today we are exporting fighter jets, tanks and modern weapons to other countries. The BJP government has provided pucca houses to 4 crore people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to build 3 crore more houses.
National President of BJP, Nadda stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and NDA have worked to propel the nation forward. Whereas, the INDI alliance fosters corruption, anarchy, empowers anti-national forces and obstructs national progress.
Nadda pointed out corruption scandals involving Kerala’s LDF government, accusing them of aiding instead of confronting such issues. Jagat Prakash Nadda expressed confidence that the BJP will flourish in Kerala in 2026 and no one will stand against the BJP.
