Indian Army and Bhaderwah Campus Join Hands to Celebrate Glorious 77th Independence Day

Bhaderwah, Aug 16 : The Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu came together with the Indian Army to celebrate India’s 77th Independence Day in a spirit of unity and patriotic fervor.

The collaboration marked a poignant tribute to the nation’s valiant defenders and the shared commitment to upholding the principles of freedom, courage, and sacrifice.

The joint celebration commenced with a ceremonious flag hoisting, where the Indian tricolor was unfurled with pride by Col. Yogesh Chauhan Commanding Officer Indian Army (4RR) and Dr Jatinder Manhas Head Department of Computer Science Bhaderwah Campus accompanied by teaching , non-teaching staff and students of Bhaderwah Campus.

The sight of the national flag fluttering amidst the majestic surroundings of Bhaderwah served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by the Indian armed forces to secure and preserve our nation’s sovereignty.

In his message Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof Rahul Gupta underlined the need for maintaining sustained peace and tranquility to realize the cherished goals of growth and development in the Bhaderwah especially Bhaderwah Campus.

He said as a responsible citizen every stakeholder should contribute in the developmental drive. “Menace like poverty, violence, crime, terrorism, corruption etc shall be dealt with iron hand to make the society worth living,” he added.

The event resonated with an atmosphere of deep reverence as students, faculty members, and military personnel stood shoulder to shoulder.Captivating cultural performances that paid tribute to India’s diverse heritage added to the significance of the celebration.

In his address, Col. Yogesh Chauhan Commanding Officer Indian Army (4RR) lauded the bravery and unwavering commitment of the Indian Army in safeguarding the country’s borders and upholding its values. He emphasized that the collaboration between the Indian Army and Bhaderwah Campus was a testament to the strong bond between the armed forces and the civilian population.

Speaking on the occasion , Dr Jatinder Manhas expressed profound gratitude to the Indian Army for their partnership in commemorating this significant milestone in the nation’s history.  “Bhaderwah Campus , University of Jammu is honored to stand alongside the Indian Army in celebrating this momentous occasion. This collaboration signifies our shared dedication to the progress and prosperity of our great nation,” he added

The celebration culminated in a colorful cultural bonanza, symbolizing the collective hope and aspirations of the Indian people for a brighter future. Students of Little Angles School presented stirring patriotic songs, enthralling dance routines, and heartfelt recitals, all of which showcased their unwavering love for the nation.

Academic Coordinator Bhaderwah Campus Dr Kuljit Singh conducted the proceedings of the event.
