Indian Youth Congress pays tribute to former PM Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary
New Delhi [India], August 20 (ANI): Indian Youth Congress on Tuesday organized a huge gathering program “Hum Mein Hai Rajiv” on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
The program was organized at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi.
The program was started by lighting the lamp by the National President of Youth Congress Srinivas BV and National Incharge Krishna Allavaru. On this occasion, Youth Congress workers from all over the country were present at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi.
After lighting the lamp, tribute was paid to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi through various cultural and other musical programs.
Many senior leaders of Congress Party and eminent social workers of the society also attended today’s program and addressed all the Youth Congress colleagues present there.
AICC General Secretary Sachin Pilot, Chairman of AICC Media Department Pawan Khera, AICC General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP Tariq Anwar, Chairman of AICC Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Department Meenakshi Natarajan, and other leaders addressed all the Youth Congress workers present there and highlighted the contribution of Rajiv Gandhi towards the country.
On this occasion, National President of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was the son of India, with his strong determination he increased the honor of Mother India. Rajiv will always remain alive in the development, progress, unity, integrity of this country and in the hearts of all of us. He also said that Rajiv Gandhi was the architect of modern India, who worked towards making India strong and self-reliant, the country is still benefiting from his foresight. It is his foresight that has put India in the category of strong, modern nations.
National President of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that he is still with us. Rajiv Gandhi, who became Prime Minister at the age of 40, worked towards laying the foundation of modern India. Rajiv Gandhi is called the architect of Digital India and the father of information technology and telecommunication revolution. On his initiative, the Indian telecommunication network was established, the network of telecommunication started spreading from cities to villages, so that the people of the village could also connect with the country and the world in terms of communication.
National Incharge of Indian Youth Congress and AICC Joint Secretary Krishna Allavaru said that Rajiv Gandhi wanted women to come forward and participate strongly in the politics of the country. He believed that the social and economic status of women should be strong. Rajiv Gandhi has left his wide mark on major decisions like foreign policy, defense policy, economic reforms, women and youth empowerment, strengthening the roots of democracy in his one tenure. Rajiv Gandhi is an inspiration for every youth of the country, he was always immortal, and will remain immortal.
Many types of cultural and musical programs were also organized in the “Hum Mein Hai Rajiv” Samagam program. Many National office bearers of Youth Congress, State Presidents and many youth congress workers from across the country were present in today’s program.
