Says Modi’s guarantee is ‘guarantee of unemployment, high inflation

Bhalla alleged that there was neither any vision nor any plan to create new jobs during last ten years of BJP Govt, and said the “biggest misfortune” was that this govt did not say a single word on unemployment. He also claimed that the BJP-led government has failed to curb inflation and unemployment, and this govt has disappointed every section of the society. He maintained that BJP led Centre and its proxy rule in Jammu and Kashmir has remained phlegmatic over the important issues being faced by the public including the Saffron party’s hardcore supporters leading to disillusionment of all as what was promised has not been delivered and the chances are also bleak that the Government will change its course listening to common man’s plight.
Elaborating unattended issues , Bhalla said that despite number of rounds of talks and discussion, and promises, the disgruntled daily wagers are struggling for their demands and protesting but the Government is nonchalant as if it has nothing to do with this section comprising thousands of individuals and their families. He termed the situation as the Government’s cruel joke with the hapless worker community. He raised the issue of lakhs of youths wasting their youthful days in dilemma as the Government has no concrete policy to ensure safe career to this segment as under the incumbent but incapable Government, the future of these educated unemployed youths is likely to perish. He said over 7 lakh deserving unemployed youth is presently longing for jobs in J&K but the Government has failed to complete recruitment process.
Bhalla asserted that the future of youth is bleak in Jammu and Kashmir due to hollow and anti- youth policies of present Government. He mentioned that those serving on Academic arrangement in the Schools/ Higher Education Department till date the govt has failed to regularize them since they have been serving for the last more than 15 to 20 years which is unjustified and against the norms of natural justice. He highlighted the scarcity of drinking as well as irrigation water in many areas of Jammu city/region which lately has become a big problem as the present Government has no plans to counter the same.
Bhalla said that BJP by downgrading J&K and dividing it into two Union Territories, has caused disrespect to the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Congress played a decisive role in the overall development of the country and always worked towards strengthening every section of the people with great conviction and commitment, besides respecting their urges and aspirations, but the BJP Govt at Centre failed them on all fronts. He said people in the country in general and J&K in particular are feeling demoralized and dismayed given the betrayals and deceitful policies of BJP.
Bhalla asserted that Congress is committed to work towards strengthening the people while having played a decisive role in the overall development of the country and empowerment of people without any discrimination, assuring that there will be no compromise on people rights. He said Congress will continue to fight for safeguarding just rights of the people and ensure deliverance of justice, adding that people are feeling victimized and harassed by the dictatorial rule of BJP. He assured that Congress shall continue to work vigorously to bring back their dignity and honour, which have been snatched aiming to complete BJP’s political agenda.
Taking a dig at BJP Govt for creating hurdles in the restoration of democratic process in J&K, Bhalla said this is for first time in the Indian history that a full-fledged state was downgraded and divided into two UTs with a stroke of pen, which is a humiliation and disrespect to people’s aspirations, but the Congress shall continue to fight for restoration of democratic setup and statehood to J&K.He also expressed serious concern over the issues confronting people on account shortage of electricity, poor supply of ration, lack of development and extreme joblessness and emphasized the LG Govt to take cognizance of the people’s issues for their resolution at right earnest. The ten years of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rule has caused a loss of ₹28 lakh crore to the country, Bhalla said.
