Infiltration bid foiled along LoC in Baramulla’s Uri

BARAMULLA Oct 22: Based on specific intelligence inputs regarding infiltration attempt by heavily armed terrorists across LoC in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, ambushes were placed to intercept their move. Terrorists tried to infiltrate taking advantage of bad weather & treacherous terrain. Contact with terrorists was established at 3 PM on 21 October in forward areas close to LoC in Uri Sector leading to heavy exchange of fire. Operation in progress and search continues: Indian Army
