Inspection of Drug Sale outlets conducted at Ajas Bandipora
BANDIPORA, January 2: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed, a joint team of Legal Metrology, Drugs Control and other concerned led by Drug Inspector Bandipora conducted a surprise inspection of drug sale outlets in Ajas Bandipora.
An official informed that 08 drug stores were inspected, out of which 2 drug stores were booked and a sum of Rs 2500 was imposed as fine on the spot for violation of Legal Metrology packaged commodities rules.
The team inspected various parameters involved in sale of drugs including operation of establishments under valid license, following the directions issued under Nasha Mukt Bharat like installation of CCTVs and CBS in their shops etc.
The team also checked the maintenance of records of NRx drugs or Schedule H1 drugs, maintaining the conditions of licenses besides provisions of Legal Metrology and Food Safety.
The team also inspected the records for selling Scheduled drugs against proper prescription issued by Registered Medical Practitioners (RMP).
During the inspection the Drugs Control department seized three drug stores for non compliance of their records.
