INSPIRE-MANAK Mentorship Programme held at DIET Leh
LEH, May 24:The State Level Exhibition and Project Competition (SLEPC) of the District Finalist of UT Ladakh under the INSPIRE Awards-MANAK Scheme was held on May 24 at DIET Leh.
It was informed that the INSPIRE-MANAK Mentorship workshop was held online and the three National finalist students from UT Ladakh have joined the online mentorship.
The three National finalist students from UT Ladakh who showcased their project/Models were Stanzin Diskit of class 9 of Government Higher Secondary School Saspol and her project title was ‘Speed breaker as pumping system for watering roadside plantation’. The second finalist was Skarma Stanzin of class 8 of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Leh and the name of the project title was ‘Bucket for washing and boiling water in difficult areas and the last finalist was Rigzen Wangmo of class 9 of Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh and the title of the project was ‘Poplar Pollen Collector’.
It was informed that the students got the opportunity to discuss their projects with the experts from National Innovation Foundation (NIF) for further improvement in the prototype and learnt some design skills from the experts present during the interaction.
The improved prototypes will be showcased in the upcoming National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC).
The expert from Inspire Manak Award present during the programme were Vinay Kumar, Engineer, NIF, Dr.Abhishek Verma, Engineer, NIF, Mehreen, DST, Kunzang Namgail, SNO, Inspire Manak Award, Tsering Yangdol, DNO, Inspire Manak Award.
