Investments of Rs 10 lakh crore made, 360 MoUs signed at Global Maritime India Summit: Sarbananda Sonowal

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 19 (ANI): Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday said that 360 MoUs were signed at the Global Maritime India Summit.

Speaking to ANI, Sonowal said, “360 MoUs have been signed and an investment of Rs 10 lakh crore was made at the 3-day program as we had expected earlier. Through this investment that is being made, lakhs of youth will get employment and will get more power to strengthen the country’s economy

“I feel that the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his efficient leadership have given such great strength to the countrymen,” he added.

Union Minister Sonowal further said, “The three-day Global Maritime India Summit 2023 was successful. I can definitely say that according to the vision plan 2047 launched by the respected Prime Minister in the ‘Amritkal’ for the maritime sector, the target given is Rs 80 lakh crore Investment. This is very much possible in the maritime sector and it will be achieved.”

“Behind this Global Maritime India Summit 2023 success is mainly of a great person, his support, his guidance who is the idealistic leader of the country, the most popular leader of the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji” he added

Union Minister Sonowal thanked all the participants, be it stakeholders, ministers, MPs, MLAs and all the private and public organizations of our maritime sector, who have participated and who have participated in their exhibitions and they have performed very well.

Global Maritime India Summit 2023 is concluded today at MMRDA ground BKC Mumbai from 17 -19th October.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated on Tuesday the Global Maritime India Summit 2023 in Mumbai. The next Global Maritime India Summit is to be held in 2025.
