IRP 11th Battalion Welfare Committee sanctions Rs 4.70 Welfare loan
JAMMU, JUNE 26: In an endeavor to mitigate the issues faced by officials of the battalion and as a welfare measure, the Battalion Welfare Committee (BWC) today met under the Chairmanship of Sandeep Mehta, Commanding Officer (CO) IRP 11th Bn.
The Committee sanctioned a welfare loan to the tune of Rs. 4.70 lakh in favour of 10 officers/officials of the battalion.
A loan of Rs. 50,000/- each was sanctioned in favour of (04) four personnel for marriage of their dependents.
An amount of Rs.50,000 each was sanctioned in favour of (04) personnel for treatment of their dependants/ self treatment.
An amount of Rs. 50,000/- was sanctioned in favour of one personnel of this unit for higher education of his ward.
In addition to above, an amount of Rs. 20,000/- was sanctioned in favour of a person to meet his social obligation.
The sanctioning of welfare loan out of the unit welfare fund is a continuous process and a facility to the officers and jawans of the J&K Police, so as to ensure that they are able to take care of themselves and their family’s contingencies.
The welfare loan sanctioned to the police personnel is refundable and is recovered in monthly installments from their salaries without any interest. However, the welfare relief provided is non-refundable. Police Headquarters under different welfare schemes are providing assistance to all the ranks of the police organization.
Lastly, the Chairman of the committee (Commandant) expressed satisfaction on the timely disbursal of the welfare loans as it helps in meeting such expenses of jawans without facing any difficulty.
