Is Deepika Padukone’s Look in ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’ the same as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s in ‘Crazy Kiya Re’? This Observant Netizen thinks so!

Unless you have been living under a rock, the second song for Pathaan dropped and sent the internet into a rightful tizzy.

The looks of Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone became a topic of hot conversation as everyone added their two cents on the situation.

One sharp sighted netizen was quick to point out that one of Deepika Padukone’s looks in the song was similar to that of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s song ‘Crazy Kiya Re’ in the movie Dhoom 2.

Released in 2006, Dhoom 2 set the benchmark for iconic looks of the era. With Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan serving as delectable eye candy, their costumes defined suave. Aishwarya Rai as Sunehri was no one’s second and had a storyline of her own which she embraced with aplomb. In the song ‘Crazy Kiya Re’ her sharp look with a high ponytail and black corset defined what it meant to be the cool girl. It is no wonder then that everyone wanted to look like her. 

Fast Forward to 2022, seeing Deepika’s slicked back tresses and black ensemble served as a call back to almost a decade and a half prior.At first glance of the split image of Deepika and Aishwarya, one cannot differentiate between the two as pointed out by Ishmeet Nagpal, a Bollywood aficionado.

Ishmeet took to her Twitter to make the comparison. She started off by tweeting a photo of Deepika Padukone, “She’s kinda giving Aish no?” 

She then doubled down and tweeted photos of both Deepika in ‘Jhoome jo Pathaan’ and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in ‘Crazy Kiya Re’. We have to admit, seeing the side by side comparison we couldn’t help but agree!
