Is Fallout 76 Crossplay?

We’ve all enjoyed venturing through the various regions of the wasteland in the Fallout series solo, but it wasn’t until Fallout 76 that we had the opportunity to do so with friends.

Although it wasn’t exactly what players were looking for on release, regular support over the years has turned this into a great world in which to explore and head on quests with buddies.

Though we expect titles like that will be cross-platform games, Fallout 76 released prior to that was the standard.

If you and your friends are playing on different systems, will you be able to experience the joys of the wasteland together? Here’s what you need to know.

Is Fallout 76 Crossplay?

Yes, Fallout 76 supports crossplay but partially. Fallout 76 does not provide full cross-platform support. Xbox and PC are an exception, as they can share servers, provided that they do so via Game Pass.

This means that players playing Fallout 76 on Xbox consoles and PC can play together across platforms in a single game session.

At present Fallout 76, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. If you are the only one with a PlayStation console or bought the game on Steam, you’ll be able only to play with others who are playing on those same platforms.

Given that Fallout 76 has been out for many years, it seems unlikely that cross-platform support is on the way at this point.

If we are able to be proven wrong, we will update this guide accordingly.
