The wait is finally over, as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 released on all major gaming platforms today on 4th February 2025.
If you’re wondering whether you can play with friends across platforms or transfer your progress between different devices, watch this guide for the latest information.
Whenever a game releases on multiple platforms, the first question that comes to mind is regarding the crossplay availability. So, let’s find out whether or not this new title supports crossplay.
Is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Crossplay?
At present Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been released for three major gaming platforms such as:
- PC (via Epic Games and Steam)
- Xbox Series X/S
- PlayStation 5
Unfortunately, there’s no crossplay support in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 at the time of release. This means that players playing the game on one platform won’t be able to play together with other players using different gaming systems.
For example, if you are playing the game on Xbox X/S, and your friend is playing on PC, then you won’t be able to play together with your friend in a single gaming session.
Does Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Cross-progression?
Unfortunately, there’s no cross-progression support available in the game as of now. This means if you are playing on a PC and wish to move to a different platform to play the game, then your progress from the previous console/gaming platform won’t be carried forward to the new console. All your progress will be lost and you’ll have to restart again.

Do You Need to Play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 Before 2?
If you haven’t played Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1, and want to play Part 2, then it’s fine. You do not necessarily have to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 in order to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
The 2nd installment of the game incorporates an engaging story that newcomers will find hooking even if they haven’t played the prequel.
