Park Eun Bin’s character, Jung Se Ok, is a top neurosurgeon who had her career destroyed by her own mentor, Choi Deok Hee. But things get complicated when she’s asked to operate on him, the same man who ruined her life.

Just as she prepares for surgery, Alan Kim shows up and says Choi won’t be coming. Why? Choi chose to delay the surgery by a month. But here’s the twist: he didn’t delay it just to wait, he planned to die during the operation. His plan? To push Jung Se Ok past her limits by making her watch him die on the operating table. Yeah, it’s as messed up as it sounds.

And just when you think it can’t get darker, it does. Choi Deok Hee secretly calls Yang Dong Yeong and casually drops a bomb: he’s been hiding Detective Wan Il’s body in a freezer. 

Like… what?

Yeah, that happened.

He even tells Yang, “Catch me now, because if you wait, it’ll be too late.” A chilling warning.

But then, things spiral. Jung Se Ok ends up killing Yang Dong Yeong, and Choi disappears.

Jung Se Ok does everything she can to find him. She confesses her crime to Kim Doo Bong, who knows where Choi is. That finally brings Choi out of hiding.

When they meet again, Jung Se Ok begs him to stop this twisted “lesson.” He tells her, “It’s part of the lesson.” But she’s done. She says, “No more lessons. Stay alive, mentor.”

The Final Scene: Did She Do the Surgery?

In the last moments, we see Jung Se Ok in an operating room, wearing her apron, holding the knife. But we never see the surgery happen. We never see Choi Deok Hee’s body. No recovery scene. No funeral. Just silence.

So… did she operate on him? Did he die?
