ITI Leh organises skill contests among different trades

Leh, April 20: Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Leh organised a skill contest/competition among different trades as a built-up event for the Y20 Pre-Summit under the aegis of G20 India, in the presence of Superintendent ITI Leh.

The event featured web development (ITI website), solar-based vehicles, virtual reality cardboard, and CPU cooler by Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) trade. Traffic lights, police sirens, rectifiers, and water-level indicators were displayed by the Electronic Mechanic trade along with assembling and disassembling computer hardware, and automatic water controllers. Skill-based contest on typing, speed test, and shorthand by Steno trade. 

The event featured a model-based all-weather public toilet system by Plumber trade. It also displayed project work on Hydrogen fuel from seawater, technically called Blue Hydrogen, and practical work on brake shoes and brake drums assembling and disassembling by Motor Mechanic trade.

Similarly, the Electrician trade displayed home automation featuring smartphone-controlled bulbs using Internet of Things technology based on technological transformation.

All instructors/staff, and trainees enthusiastically participated and made the event successful.
