Jal Jeevan Mission fortnight: Painting competition organised at GBHSS Doda to promote water conservation
DODA, August 01: The Jal Shakti Department and DPMU unit of Doda district organised a painting competition as part of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Fortnight celebration programme, aiming to create awareness about water conservation.
The event was held at Government Boys Hr Sec School Doda and witnessed enthusiastic participation of 40 students who showcased their artistic talents on the theme of Water Conservation. The students were sensitized about the significance of the Jal Jeevan Mission and the importance of using water judiciously.
The event witnessed the presence of Ruby Naz, the Principal, along with the school staff and students.
Anuradha, incharge of the District Cultural Cell, judged the paintings and appreciated the creativity and efforts of the young artists.
Chief Education Officer, Purshotam Gouria supervised the entire programme, ensuring its smooth execution. The District Project Management unit of Doda played a pivotal role in organizing the event successfully.
At the conclusion of the competition, prizes were distributed among the participating students, encouraging and recognizing their dedication to water conservation through art.
Meanwhile, the presence of ISS VOESEP Awas at the venue provided support and added significance to the event’s noble cause of promoting water conservation.
