Jal Shakti Department celebrates Women’s Day in collaboration with GDC Poonch

POONCH, March 09: Jal Shakti Department Poonch, in collaboration with GDC Poonch, celebrated International Women’s Day at the college campus today.

Prof Dr Rani Mughal presided over the function, whereas Superintending Engineer Hydraulic Circle Poonch, Er Rajinder K Sharma, was the Chief Guest.

Prof Dr Mohd Jhangir conducted the proceedings of the Programme. Prof Dr Tansssum welcomed the audience and shed light on the importance of the day.

Coordinator IEC, Muzafar Hussain, presented the aims and initiatives of the Jal Jeevan Mission. Wasim, team leader from ISA, elaborated on the function and constitution of Pani Samities and demonstrated FTK for testing the quality of water. The programme was organised by Prof Dr Youges Kumar, Incharge NCC.

Er Rajinder K Sharma informed the gathering of the Jal Jeevan Mission program of the government in providing every household with a tapped water connection under the slogan of HAR GHAR NAL SE JAL.
