Jammu Administration celebrates Civil Services Day’ 23
JAMMU, April 20: A meeting was held today to celebrate the Civil Services Day 2023 here in the DC Office complex.
The ADDC Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, ADC L&O Harvinder Singh, ADC ADM Sandeep Seointra, Anant Dwivedi (IAS Probationer) ACR Piyush Dhotra, ACG Manisha along with other senior officers attended the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC referred to Civil Services as the backbone of governance. He acknowledged the role of Civil Servants as the ‘most visible and effective agents of change’ in ensuring the inclusive development of the nation.
The ADC L &O Harvinder Singh, in his address, said that India is the largest democracy and most functional and vibrant at all levels. He stressed that our level of freedom of expression is next to none and there is no tangible reflection of enforced silence.
ADC ADM Sandeep Seonetra, this year’s theme of Civil Services Day ‘Viksit Bharat: Empowering Citizens and Reaching the Last Mile’ is a true reflection of the Preamble of the Indian Constitution that seeks to secure Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity for all its citizens.
All the officers present in the meeting also took an oath to perform their duties with utmost dedication to serve the people.
Civil Services Day is celebrated to recognize their significant contributions to public service, to motivate and appreciate the work and efforts of Civil Service officers and inspire government workers.
