Jammu Administration retrieves several hundred Kanal state land across 5 Tehsils
JAMMU, DECEMBER 31: The District Administration Jammu conducted a series of demolition and eviction drives in different Tehsils of the district under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa to retrieve the encroached state land.
In a joint anti- encroachment drive, a team of revenue officers along with police and other concerned officials retrieved state land measuring 69 kanal in village Chowadhi Tehsil Bahu.
The land retrieved is encumbrance free patch and sign boards of state land boards were erected on the spot in presence of police authorities.
In another drive, a revenue team led by SDM Khour and Tehsildar Khour retrieved state land measuring around 200 Kanal at village Danwal.
Similarly, in Nagrota a team of concerned departments retrieved state land of 8 Kanal in village Panjgrain. The Sign Boards of the state land were also installed in presence of Police authorities.
Tehsildar Pargwal conducted eviction drives in village Phagwari, Pindi and Chak Phagwari and retrieved around 145 Kanal state land including 8.10 Kanal in Phagwari, 106 Kanal in Pindi and 29.3 Kanal in Chak Phagwari.
Similarly, in Jourian, around 14.3 Kanal of state land was retrieved during the Anti encroachment drive.
