Jammu Cyber Cell cracks down on online fraud, freezes over ₹1 lakh
The Jammu Police’s Cyber Cell has successfully tackled three separate online financial fraud cases, preventing significant losses for the victims. The total amount involved in these scams was ₹1,36,133, and swift action by the Cyber Cell led to freezing ₹1,06,533.
The Cyber Cell received complaints regarding a stolen phone used for fraudulent transactions (₹33,333), an investment scam on Telegram (₹71,800), and an impersonation fraud where a scammer posed as a police officer to extort money (₹31,000).

Through meticulous investigation and swift intervention, the Cyber Cell managed to put a hold on a major portion of the stolen funds. However, the investigation remains ongoing to recover the complete amount and apprehend the perpetrators.
