Nothing short of full statehood acceptable to people- Karra

Rajouri,Nov 26- Accusing centre government of deliberately delaying & denying the  people of Jammu & Kashmir their constitutional right of statehood, JKPCC Chief Shri Tariq Hameed Karra today forcefully reiterated the Congress demand for restoration of full statehood without further delay, as it is the Constitutional right of people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Addressing a massive Congress rally as part of the Constitution Day celebrations here today, along with working Presidentd Tara Chand,Raman Bhalla, Ex MP Ch Lal Singh,Chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma,Jahangir Mir Ex Dy Chairman LC,Ved  Mahajan Ex MLC  Former minister & DCC President  Rajouri Shabir Khan,MLA Rajouri Iftikhaar Ahmed,DDC Rajouri Sain Rashiy,Shri Karra accused centre government of delaying and denying people of Jammu & Kashmir from their constitutional right of statehood, which was arbitrarily snatched from us on Aug 2019.   Right from Parliament to Supreme Court and in public meetings during elections, the Prime Minister & Home minister reiterated the promise of restoration of statehood but deliberately denying it without any reason.
Statehood should have been restored before elections but centre put  pre- conditions, that first election’s followed by statehood but keep denying it till date and now maintaining complete silence  .

Karra said that Congress will intensify it’s movement for full statehood,as it has already registered it’s protest over this by not joining cabinet and yesterday lodged a protest demonstration in Srinagar on the opening day of parliament session and today again we are sending a loud message that Congress will mobilize people to press for the demand both outside and inside parliament.
He also sent strong note that nothing short of full statehood will be acceptable to the Congress and people of Jammu- Kashmir.

JKPCC Chief recalled the contributions of Dr B R Ambedkar and great stalwarts of the time in framing the best constitution of the world,he cautioned the people about the danger to the Constitutional values by the forces in power who have been weakening the Constitution.It is the Congress party and India alliance which is fighting for safeguarding it.

Karra congratulated the people of Rajouri for the victory of Congress candidate Iftikhaar Ahmed and thanked the voters and alliance partners also for the victory by defeating BJP.The people of border belt have kept the flag of secularism high as he specially thanked the hindu people for rejecting divisive politics of BJP.

Welcoming the JKPCC Chief,newly elected MLA thanked the party leadership and people for reposing trust in him and assured to come upto the expectations of people and party.

District President Shabir Ahmed Khan thanked the people for the large participation in the rally and assured them that entire Congress leadership shall remain in their service.

75^th anniversary of Constitution Adoption  functions were also organized by District Committees Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and also  in almost all the district Headquarters in Kashmir Valley.
