Jammu police seize 5 vehicles in rural zone for illegal mining
In a determined effort to curb illegal mining activities, the Jammu police seized five vehicles involved in unauthorized sand transportation in the rural zones of the district.

In a surprise operation, authorities seized five vehicles found transporting sand without proper permits. The crackdown targeted border posts Sandwan and Gajansoo, where police apprehended three dumpers loaded with sand. A further two tractor-trolleys were detained at Nagrota Police Station for the same violation.
All five vehicles lacked the mandatory Form A, which authorizes the transportation of mined materials.
The seized vehicles were carrying significant quantities of sand, raising concerns about unauthorized mining operations. The District Mining Officer has been notified and legal action has been initiated against the offenders.
