Jammu-Srinagar highway blocked by shooting stones, snow; Mughal & SSG Road impassable; Restoration underway

As of Thursday morning, shooting stones near T2, heavy rainfall along the NHW, and snowfall between Ramsoo and Banihal have rendered the road impassable.

“People are advised to avoid journey on NHW till road clearance,” the traffic advisory states, urging travelers to contact Traffic Control Units (TCUs) before embarking on their trip.
Adding to the travel woes, both the Mughal Road and SSG Road, alternative routes connecting the regions, are already closed due to heavy snowfall accumulation.
