Jammu-Srinagar highway open, but several other roads remain shut due to snow

While the vital Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH 44) is currently open for vehicular movement, several other roads in the region remain closed due to snowfall and icy conditions.

The Bhaderwah-Chamba road, Mughal road, and SSG road have all been closed for traffic due to snow accumulation and frost. These closures are expected to continue until the roads are cleared and deemed safe for travel.

However, there is some good news for those traveling between Kishtwar, Sinthan, and Anantnag. This road is currently open for one-way traffic for light motor vehicles (LMVs) only. Travelers should be aware that conditions on this road may be challenging and should proceed with caution.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and working tirelessly to clear the snow and ensure the safety of travelers. The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police advises all drivers to exercise extreme caution and check the latest road conditions before embarking on any journey.
