Commuters traveling on the highway are advised to exercise caution and follow lane discipline as there is single-lane traffic in many places between Nashri and Banihal. The road surface condition in this section is also poor, and authorities warn that overtaking could lead to congestion.
The Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road (SSG road) remains blocked.
For the latest traffic updates on Jammu-Srinagar NH44 and other roads in Jammu and Kashmir, commuters are urged to contact the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police Control Units.
