Jammu-Srinagar NHW open, Mughal Road & SSG Road remain closed: Traffic Police

Traffic is flowing freely in both directions on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW), according to an official tweet from the Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police.

However, the Mughal Road and the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road remain closed for vehicular traffic. The Mughal Road has been closed for three days due to snow accumulation. The SSG Road is also closed due to the slippery condition of the road following recent snowfall.

Traffic authorities are awaiting a “green signal” from the Border Roads Organisation (BEACON) before reopening the SSG Road.
