Jammu, August 14 : The University of Jammu hosted an “Open House lnteraction” centered around innovative four-year Degree program, “Design Your Degree.” The event took place in the seminar hall of the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Jammu, providing an opportunity for both parents and students to engage in interactive sessions with faculty members, delving into various facets of the program. Participants were able to engage in personalized discussions with faculty members, receiving tailored guidance to clarify their uncertainties and map out their future educational paths.

The primary objective of this gathering was to comprehensively elucidate the transformative potential of “Design Your Degree” in relation to individual aspirations and career objectives. Notably, this program signifies a paradigm shift in higher education, placing students at the helm of their learning journey. Dr. Sadaf Shah, Associate Professor in the Department of English, led the presentation, which stimulated a series of inquiries from the attendees. Before the presentation, Prof. Alka Sharma, Director of the SIIEDC, briefed the audience on the essence of “Design Your Degree,” outlining the program’s diverse dimensions. The event was graced by the presence of distinguished personalities, including Prof. Charak, Head of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Anil Gupta, and Dr. Shallu Sehgal, among others.
