Janhvi Kapoor and Boney Kapoor’s Heartfelt Notes On Remembering Sridevi Will Leave You In Tears
The iconic Bollywood actress Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018. Few days ahead of her death Anniversary, daughter Janhvi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor took to their Instagram handles and shared heartfelt notes remembering her.
Sharing the picture with her late mother, Janhvi says that she still looks for her mother everywhere. She captioned the post, “I still look for you everywhere mumma, still do everything I do hoping I’m making you proud. Everywhere I go, and everything I do- it starts and ends with you.”
Many Bollywood celebrities dropped in heart emojis on Janhvi’s picture with her mother, Sridevi. Fans got emotional and commented, “May God give you all peace.” Another commented, “You are definitely making her proud.” “Missing her everyday,” commented another. “We get the sentiment Jahnvi! We are all trying to please aka make our parents proud, but, sometimes you have to take stock of your talent and what YOU really want. Maybe acting is not for you, after so many attempts at different kinds of scripts if you craft isn’t sticking, you gotta look deeper my friend!” commented another.
Sridevi’s husband, Boney Kapoor also shared a heartfelt note along with her picture remembering his wife. He wrote, “You left us 5 years back …… your love and memories will keep us going and will remain with us forever….”
Sridevi (1963-2018) was an Indian film actress and producer who worked predominantly in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada language films. She made her debut as a lead actress in the Tamil film “Moondru Mudichu” in 1976 and later gained popularity with films such as “Himmatwala” (1983), “Sadma” (1983), “Mr India” (1987), “Chandni” (1989), and “Lamhe” (1991). She received several awards for her performances.
Sadly, Sridevi passed away at age 54 due to accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub in Dubai. Her death shocked her fans and the film industry, who mourned the loss of one of the most talented and versatile actresses in Indian cinema.
