J&K BJP pays tributes to Dr Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Cong did not give due respect to Dr Ambedkar: BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu &Kashmir, paid floral tributes to the Architect of nation’s Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, on his mahaparinirvan diwas, in various programmes held in J&K UT.

Ravinder Raina, J&K BJP President, in his message said that Baba Saheb with his incessant efforts outlawed the discrimination against the oppressed classes and worked to establish equality among fellow citizens. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to fulfill the dream of Baba Sahib to build a society where friendship, equality, and brotherhood exist.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, J&K BJP General Secretary & former Minister, paid floral tributes to the Baba Sahib at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, along with  former minister Sukhnandan Choudhary, Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta,  former VC Balbir Ram Rattan, BJP Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Nanaji Deshmukh Library Incharge Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra,  ST Morcha President Roshan Choudhary, Sanjay Bakshi, shubham Sharma and others.

Charging the Congress of not giving due respect to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar when it was in power for decades at the centre, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said that BJP recognized the services of this great dalit leader and gave due respect.

Dr. Manyal said that Dr. Ambedkar was one of the highly educated Indians of his time who got the distinction of becoming first law minister of the country. His contribution in framing the constitution of India had been unparalleled.

Dr. Ambedkar devoted his entire life for the upliftment of the dalits and downtrodden. He raised voice for equality among all sections of the society and stressed upon the SCs to educate their children so that they progress and lead dignified and respectable lives.

While Congress gave ill treatment to the architect of the constitution, the BJP on coming to power developed all the places connected with the life of Dr. Ambedkar, he said.

It was on the instance of BJP, which was supporting the VP Singh govt from outside in 90s, that Dr. Ambedkar was honoured with Bharat Ratna.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while heading the BJP led government at the centre, coined the term “Panchtirth” in remembrance of Dr. Ambedkar. These Panchtirth included birthplace in Mhow, place of staying in London while studying, place of embracing Buddhism, place of demise and cremation.

Dr. Manyal also paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar  in a programme in W.No. 17 Pacca Talab, Jammu, organized by former Councillor  Nidhi  Magotra and attended by BJP vice-president Yudhvir Sethi, Mandal President Raman Sharma and former Councilor Balwan Singh.

Yudhvir Sethi, in his tributes, said that Dr. Ambedkar was an institution in himself and his entire life was full of struggles and devotion towards the society. He said that Ambedkar’s life inspires the poor and those without resources to not leave the path of moving forward even in harsh and unfavourable conditions.

At Ambedkar Chowk, Jammu, Dr. Manyal, joined paid tributes in a programme organized by Jammu South district SC Morcha President Umesh Kumar Gabbar and attended by District President Rekha Mahajan, SC Morcha leader Adarsh Jathiar, Vijay Anand Gill and Hans Raj Loria.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal also paid tributes to Dr. Ambedkar in a programme organized by DDC member Dharminder kumar.

Similarly, in another programme, at Bishnah, senior BJP leader Surinder Bhagat, in presence of former MLA Ashwani Kumar Sharma organized a half marathon race to educate the youth about drug addiction. More than 500 children of SIRAS School, Model School and Girls High Secondary School took part in a marathon organized from Girls School to BDO Office Road to KC turn to end at Girls School.
