J&K Budget all inclusive, comprehensive, development oriented: BJP
JAMMU, March 15: YV Sharma Spokesperson, J&K BJP termed the J&K Budget for 2023 2024 as all inclusive, comprehensive, development oriented.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, J&K BJP Media Secretary and Prof. Kulbhushan Mohtra, Incharge BJP Department of Library accompanied YV Sharma, while he spoke on the commitment of the Modi ‘s Govt. to usher in the speedy development of JK UT by ending the development deficit of years.
“The Budget has paid attention to all sectors like health, education, Agriculture, Horticulture, women empowerment, sports, tourism, youth welfare programs, Business and Industrial development, infrastructure, village panchayats and urban councils, urban housing, to provide tap water to all houses, 24 into 7 power supply and steps necessary for the sustainable development of JK UT,” said Sharma.
Sharma said, “The salient and welcome developments in the Budget are the allocation of funds for Robotic surgery, provision of chemotherapy equipment for all the medical colleges, buildings for colleges and hostels for higher learning, centres for skill learning, women hatts, pink taxes with women drivers and conductors, metro rails, resting places for pilgrims and tourists “.
He said that the most encouraging aspect is that separate and ample funds have been earmarked for almost all the sectors. Special stress has been laid defense, internal security removal of drug addiction and employment to youth, he added.
Highest ever investment of Rs 1547.87 crore received. 500 start ups have come up during last 3 years. 33426 Posts have been referred to recruiting agencies.
Budget for J&K will be Rs 1,18,500 crore.
Main focus is on Good Governance, Strengthening Grass-root Democracy, Promoting Sustainable Agriculture, Facilitating Investment & Industrial Growth, Employment Generation, Accelerating Development & Inclusive Growth, Women Empowerment, Social Inclusion and Doubling GDP in next five years.
40,000 new houses for houseless families under PMAY-G, Rs 1313 crore provided for PRIs & ULBs and Rs 271.25 crore for DDCs/BDCs.
Fort at Samba, Naristan Tral, Hari Parbat at Srinagar and General Zorawar Singh palace at Reasi to be refurbished, Water sports activities at Dal, Wular, Mansar and Bhagliyar Dam site.
Rs 1246 crore for Old Age/widow/Disability pension, Rs 245 crore for Ladli Beti scheme and Rs 80 crore for Marriage Assistance scheme
Rs 447 crore for Tribal Development, Scholarship to 1, 24,300 pre-matric students belonging to SC/OBC/EBC and Physically challenged categories.
