J&K Congress General Secretary (Org) raises concerns over power & drinking water crises

Jammu, June 07 :  JKPCC General Secretary (Org) Mr. Narinder Gupta  expressed great concern  over the power crises and acute shortage of drinking water in Jammu City and its subverbs and urged authorities to immediately take corrective measures to mitigate hardships of the people.

He said that the people of Barnai, Bantalab, Chinore and certain other areas of Jammu City are facing hardships in getting the drinking water and electricity. Several areas are not getting the regular, proper and adequate supply of water.  Govt. is unable to meet the drinking water needs of the several areas where there is shortage of water supply. The residents of these areas are compelled to buy drinking water from private tankers on high rates despite paying water rent to the  Govt.  The failure to meet the shortfall is total failure of the administration and the LG administration is failing its primary duty to meet the drinking water needs of people even in the Jammu City.

PCC General Secretary demanded that the water and electricity shortage in these areas should immediately redressed and urge the State Administration to give immediate directions to the concerned authorities to resolve the shortage of drinking water and supply of regular electricity in these areas.
