J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrates 77th Independence Day with great patriotism
JAMMU, Aug 16 : J&K Dharmarth Trust celebrated 77th Independence Day of India with immense fervor and patriotism.
On the occasion, Brig (Retd) R.S Langeh, President of Dharmarth Trust, and Ashok Kumar Sharma, (SSP Retd), Secretary of the Trust, hoisted the National Flag in presence of Trust’s employees and staff members, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The Trust’s President addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which marks 75 years of India’s independence. He highlighted India’s growing prominence as a global leader and the recent declaration by the United States, recognizing India’s Independence Day as the National Day of Celebration of the World’s Two Largest Democracies. Many other countries have also acknowledged India’s immense potential.
He also highlighted the transformation that has taken place in Jammu & Kashmir, with Tiranga rallies being organized across the Union Territory. He expressed his enthusiasm for the joint celebration of India’s 77 years of independence and the Trust’s 177 years of existence.
He asserted that the Dharmarth Trust was established by the Maharaja Gulab Singh with an aim to promote Hinduism and also to take care of the temples and shrines in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the collective responsibility of all of us to contribute to the upliftment of the Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Secretary of the Trust, threw light on the sacrifices made by freedom fighters in their struggle for independence. He stressed the moral responsibility of standing with the country and contributing in any possible way for the welfare of the nation. He urged the employees and Pujaris to unite and work together for the betterment of the Trust.
The celebration concluded with a high tea arranged for the participants.
