J&K Govt announces Rs 5 lakh relief for family of martyred captain

The Jammu and Kashmir government announced a grant of Rs. 5 lakh as ex-gratia relief to the family of Captain Pranjal (IC-83609N) of 63 RR (Bihar). Captain Pranjal was martyred during an anti-terrorist operation in the Union Territory on November 22nd, 2023.

In a notification issued yesterday, the Jammu and Kashmir Home Department announced the grant. The order cites Government Order No. 723-OR-GAD of 1990 and 1460-GAD of 2018, which provide financial assistance to the families of soldiers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
