J&K Govt terminates teacher’s employment over security concerns

The Jammu and Kashmir government dismissed Manzoor Ahmad Laway, a teacher in the Education Department, from service with immediate effect yesterday.

According to a government order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the Lieutenant Governor is satisfied that Laway’s activities warrant his dismissal. The order cites “security of the State” as the reason for not holding an inquiry into the case.
