JK Green Drive Enriches Dessa Valley with 500 Saplings amid  public outreach program at Malan- B

DODA, DECEMBER 20: The serene landscapes of Dessa Valley witnessed a dedicated effort towards environmental conservation through a plantation drive organized under the ambitious JK Green Drive initiative. The initiative, aimed at promoting greenery and biodiversity, saw the distribution of 500 saplings comprising both fruit and conifer varieties.

The event was spearheaded by the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Doda,   Ravinder Singh, and Range Officer Adil Shan. The presence of key figures, including Model E-Governance Centre Incharge   Hiteshwar Thakur, underscored the collaborative nature of the endeavour. The plantation drive brought together the collective efforts of Gram Sarpanches, members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), local residents, and enthusiastic school children.

The participation of diverse stakeholders reflected a vibrant community commitment to environmental stewardship. Beyond the act of planting saplings, the event served as a platform for fostering awareness and instilling a sense of responsibility towards preserving the natural beauty of Dessa Valley. The active involvement of school children in the initiative also contributed to nurturing a generation with a heightened environmental consciousness.
