J&K: Indian Army patrol rescues accident victims at Dere Ki Gali on Srinagar-Rajouri route
Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 28 (ANI): In a remarkable act of vigilance and swift action, Indian Army rescued three civilians who met with an accident while travelling from Srinagar to Rajouri, the Ministry of Defence said in a press release.
Lt Col Suneel Bartwal PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence said, “The incident occurred late last night on September 26 at approximately 10:30 pm near the DKG area, highlighting the crucial role of military presence in the region. The army patrol was conducting routine surveillance when they spotted a vehicle that had overturned off the road. Recognizing the potential for serious injury, the Indian Army team immediately rushed to the scene to assess the situation.”
He said that upon arrival, they discovered the three civilians who were visibly shaken but fortunately sustained only minor injuries.
The Indian Army personnel quickly provided immediate medical assistance, ensuring that the victims were stable. They assessed the scene for any additional dangers and communicated with local authorities to arrange for further medical care.
The Ministry of Defence said that this incident underscores the ongoing commitment of the Indian Army to assist and protect civilians, particularly in remote and vulnerable areas.
