J&K Police bolstered with 38 Tactical Intervention Vehicles: Post-facto sanction approved for enhanced security

In a significant boost to the security apparatus of Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has granted post-facto sanction for the procurement of 38 tactical intervention vehicles for the J&K police. These specialized vehicles, procured under the “Convoy/RoP Protection” category of Security Related Expenditure (SRE), will enhance the operational capabilities of the police in tackling various security challenges.

The Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir had earlier sought approval for the acquisition of these specialized vehicles. Recognizing the crucial role they play in safeguarding convoys and Road Opening Patrols (RoPs), the MHA swiftly granted the necessary sanction, paving the way for their deployment.
