J&K Police crackdown: Absconder on the run since 2015 apprehended in Rajouri
In a relentless crackdown on absconders, the Jammu & Kashmir Police scored another success today, apprehending a fugitive who had been evading arrest for nine years in Rajouri district.

The absconder, identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Kanshi Ram and a resident of Sanjiote, had been evading arrest since 2015 in connection with an FIR registered at Police Station Rajouri under number 179/2015. A general warrant for his arrest had also been issued by the Hon’ble Court.
Acting on credible intelligence, a dedicated police team led by the Station House Officer of Police Station Rajouri conducted raids at various suspected locations. Their meticulous efforts finally paid off when they managed to apprehend Kumar in the Sangraampur Argi area of Rajouri.
The apprehension of Kumar marks another significant victory in the Jammu & Kashmir Police’s ongoing drive against absconders. The operation aims to bring to justice individuals who have been evading legal proceedings for various offenses, ensuring accountability and upholding the rule of law.
