J&K Rural Sanitation Directorate organises 4-day Training of master trainers under SBM G-II
DODA, MARCH 05: A 4-day ToT for Master Trainers, under Swach Bharat Mission Gramin, phase-2 was inaugurated today at Dak Bungalow Doda by the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, Deptt of Rural Development & PR. The training is being imparted to the participants by the resource persons and subject matter experts of NH Consulting New Delhi, which is the technical agency responsible for implementing the capacity building program in all 20 districts of the J&K UT.
More than 50 trainers from Doda and Kishtwar districts participated in the first session of the ToT. The training programs are being monitored by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayats of the respective districts.
ACP Kishtwar, Zakir Hussain Wani, and ACP Doda Mohammad Ashfaq Khanji were present during the inaugural session of the programme. During his welcome address, ACP Kishtwar deliberated upon the importance of capacity building activities in achieving the goal of complete sanitation in rural areas by 2024.
He impressed upon the participants to take maximum benefit from the training program and translate their learning in action at GP level immediately after completing the training.
Team members of NH Consulting informed the media that the ToTs are part of a series of Capacity Building activities being organized across all districts of the UT in a cluster based approach clubbing 2-3 districts together to create a pool of around 600 block level master Trainers of the Department , who in turn shall be delivering training to the PRI members and other community level stakeholders on various components of SBM G-II.
