JKAACL culminates a Two-Day Seminar on 21st-century Hindi literature of J&K

JAMMU, January 17: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL), under the guidance of Shri Bharat Singh (JKAS), Secretary (JKAACL), has successfully organised a two-day Hindi Seminar on “21st Century Hindi Literature of
Jammu & Kashmir” at K.L. Saigal Hall, of JKAACL, in Jammu.



Yesterday, at the outset, in the inaugural session of the event, Shri Bharat Singh (JKAS), Secretary (JKAACL), welcomed the literary audience gathered at the event. Through his welcome address, Shri Bharat Singh apprised the audience about the initiatives of the JKAACL in the recent past aimed at the regional literature of Jammu & Kashmir.

He further mentioned that JKAACL, as per its mandate, shall continue to work towards the promotion of literature in Jammu & Kashmir, and the success of such initiatives shall directly be associated with the enthusiastic participation
of people from civil society; therefore, the responsibility for the promotion and preservation of literature lies with each individual, mentioned the Secretary while concluding his welcome address.

Professor Raj Kumar presented the keynote address. The presidential address of the inaugural event by Professor Bharat Bhushan Sharma, President of Rashtriya Bhasha Prachar Samiti, thanked the JKAACL for its literary initiative. The inaugural session culminated with a sincere vote of thanks by Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary (JKAACL).

The first session of the event was presided over by Dr Adarsh Prakash. Under his chairmanship, Dr Om Goswami spoke about the contributions of the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) towards
promoting Hindi Literature. Dr Parshotam Kumar talked about the prominent trends of 21st-century Hindi Poetic literature of Jammu & Kashmir.

The second session of the first day was presided over by Dr Satish Vimal. Under his chairmanship, Ms Alka Sharma apprised the audience about the status quo of the children-literature of Hindi in Jammu & Kashmir. Mr Rajeshwar
Singh Raju spoke about the prime trends of Hindi stories of 21st-century Jammu & Kashmir.


Dr Adarsh Prakash talked about the Hindi short stories trend in 21st-century Jammu & Kashmir. On the second day of the seminar, in the third session, Professor Parmeshwari Sharma presided over the third session of the event. Under the chairmanship, Dr Bandana Thakur addressed the audience about the research work carried out in Hindi literature under the aegis of Jammu University. Dr Satish Vimal talked about his assessment of the critical analysis of 21st-century Hindi literature in Jammu & Kashmir.

During the fourth session, under the chairmanship of Professor Raj Kumar, Dr Koshika Sharma apprised the noble audience of the trends of Hindi Theatre in 21st-century Jammu & Kashmir. Maharaj Krishan Santoshi, through his talk, sensitised the audience to the consciousness of struggle and tribulations in exile literature of 21st-century Jammu & Kashmir.

In the final/fifth session of the seminar, Dr Om Goswami chaired the session. Under his chairmanship, Shri Ashok Sharma briefed the audience about the contribution of Journalism toward the Hindi language in 21st-century Jammu
& Kashmir. Dr Mukti Sharma talked about the key trends in the Hindi Novels of 21st-century Jammu & Kashmir.

The unprecedented literary initiative of JKAACL is receiving rounds of appreciation from the art and literature community of Jammu & Kashmir.
