JKAACL organises Bhajan Sandhya to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti

JAMMU, OCTOBER 3: In connection with Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organised a Bhajan Sandhya here in the K.L. Saigal Hall Jammu. Prof. Anupama Sharma, renowned artists of Jammu and Kashmir was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

At the very outset Dr Shahnawaz, Editor Cum Cultural officer, JKAACL, welcomed the guests on behalf of secretary JKAACL, Bharat Singh, under whose guidance these programs are being organized. He said that these programs are aimed to connect people of J&K to their cultural roots.

The program began with the singing of Bhagat Kabir’s Bhajan by the renowned artist Marina Jamwal. This was followed by the bhajans by Vanshika Jaral. She enthralled the audience with her melodious voice. After this Vishal Gupta presented Kabir Bhajans and the program concluded with a soulful recitation by the renowned artist of the Jammu and Kashmir  Suraj Singh. The singers were equally supported by musicians like Rakesh Anand on flute, Sudesh  Sharma on Synth, Shivinder on guitar and Amit Anand on tabla. The bhajans were composed by the famous writer, artist and musician of Jammu and Kashmir Prithvi Raj Sharma. The program was ably conducted by   Bindiya Raina Tikku.
