JKAACL to showcase the rich culture and diversity of J&K in its activities: Syed Abid Rasheed Shah
Stresses on scaling up of activities by the academy in the art and culture sector of J&K
SRINAGAR, February 27: The Secretary, Culture, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah today visited Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages Office Lal Mandi, Srinagar where he took the stock of function of the Academy.
On the occasion, he held an introductory cum interactive session with the officers and officials of the department.
While addressing the staff in Central Hall, Secretary stressed on the need to scale up activities conducted by academy for promotion of Art, Culture and Languages.
He also stressed on the officers to chalk out a strategy to produce rich and quality output of research papers, literature and other publications by the academy.
Besides, he asked for wider consultation with stakeholders including artists and researchers to improve the quality and standard of publications to showcase the rich culture and literature of J&K.
Further, Dr Syed Abid instructed the officials for undertaking steps for improving the involvement of youth in different activities & events being organized by the cultural academy.
He directed officers for publication of weekly & monthly schedule of activities and programmes to be organized by academy for information of general public and also appealed people to participate in programmes.
He emphasised on the issue of information technology as a force multiplier for the work & mandate of JKAACL regarding preservation, creation and promotion of Art, languages & literature.
Besides, Incharge Divisional Head of JKAACL; Deputy Secretary JKAACL, the interactive session was attended by researchers, artists, calligraphers, and officials of the Academy.
